DC Moppin, 87, Cameron passed away January 24, 2014.

DC was born on July 29, 1926 in Henrietta, Missouri to George and Mamie (Mershon) Moppin.

He attended high school in Henrietta and served in the Navy during World War II. Upon discharge, DC married Kathryn Anne Hoch of Chillicothe in 1946.

DC was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn; his parents; four brothers, Fred, Melvin, Albert and Kenny; four sisters, Mary Martha, Mamie and JoAnne.

He was a the First Baptist Church, Cameron, The Masonic Lodge #296, Quincy, IL, Vincil Lodge #62 AF & AM, Cameron, Order of Eastern Star Adah Chapter #17, Cameron, India Shrine, Oklahoma City, OK and a charter member of the Tri-Rivers RV Club. DC worked for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad in Signal Maintenance and Construction, retiring after 33 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad as a Signal Maintainer.

Survivors: 2 sons, Daniel (Katherine) Moppin, St. Joseph, MO, David (Kathy) Moppin, Fort Smith, AR; daughter, Billie (Gary) Frey, Lakewood, CO; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Meredith, Duane, Brian and Jonathan; 5 great-grandchildren, Jack, Kathryn, Reece, Sydnee and Jacob; 2 brothers, Stanley (Sandy) Moppin and George Andy (Elizabeth) Moppin; 3 sisters, Effie (Floyd) Minyard, Eva (Howard) Willard and Glenda Viles.

Services: 2:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 1-2:00 PM, prior to the service.
