Edward L. Colvin, Sr., 84, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 15, 1930 to Edward and Louise (Ozenberger) Colvin in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He married Marlene Margaret Dewey on October 20, 1957. She survives of the home.
Edward proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, farmed and later retired from Eastern Division of Buchanan County.
Mr. Colvin was a member of the Cosby Lodge No. 600, A.F. & A.M., Hugh De Payens Commandery No. 4, K.T., King Hill Chapter No. 147, R.A.M., Moila Shrine and O.E.S. Cosby Chapter No. 145. He was also a member of American Legion Post 359, Eagles Lodge and Clare United Methodist Church.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents.
Additional Survivors: son, E. Loren Colvin, of the home; daughter, Cindy Payne (Kenneth Olson), Shawnee, Kansas; and sister, Shirley Anderson, Lincoln, Nebraska.
