John Wesley Dunn, 78, Savannah, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at a local hospital.

John was born on January 16, 1936 to Charles and Lena (DeLong) Dunn in Fortescue, Mo.

He was a graduate of Bolckow High School. John was a farmer in Andrew County, Mo.

He married Ruth Nelson on August 16, 1963. She survives of the home.

John served two years in the U.S. Army.He was a member and elder of the Community of Christ in Guilford, Mo. He served as youth leader, financial officer and pastor. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, camping and flying.

John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Michelle; brothers, Clarence and Danny Dunn; sister, Alice Cothern; and grandson, Aric Dunn.

Additional survivors include son, Wesley Wayne (Leigh Ann) Dunn; grandchildren, Zackary, Monica and Josie Dunn; sisters, Janice (Lester) Manship, Geraldine (Bob) Dodd; and nieces and nephews.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Community of Christ, Guilford. Interment: Bolckow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Public viewing will begin after 11 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Farwesta or Andrew County Senior Center.
