Lynette Diane Steltenpohl 47, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday August 12, 2014 at Heartland Hospital.
Lynette Diane Steltenpohl 47, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday August 12, 2014 at Heartland Hospital.

She was born April 29, 1967 in St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter of Loritta & Daniel Miller.

She graduated from Lafayette high school in 1985 and MWSU in 1990.

She married Bruce Steltenpohl on January 14, 1995 and they shared 19 years together.

She worked for the St. Joseph School District at Lafayette High School in the Counseling Center for past 14 years. She was involved in many aspects of the school, including the Cheerleader Coach, working with young adults where she touched the lives of many. She had an infectious laugh, smile, and hugs that warmed the hearts of everyone she met. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Lynette was loved and will be missed by all. She was a Christian and a member of St. Joseph Boat & Yacht Club.

Lynette was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce and daughter, Lindsy, of the home, her parents, Daniel & Loritta Miller, Savannah, MO, daughter, Heidi (Rick) Hitchens of Atchison, KS, sons, Dustin Steltenpohl of Atchison, KS and Cory Steltenpohl of Lewisville, TX, 7, grandchildren, sister, Janet (John) Karns of Savannah, MO, brother, Matthew Miller of St. Joseph, MO, sister-in-law, Nina Miller of St. Joseph, MO, father & mother in law, Bill & Marilyn Steltenpohl of St. Joseph, MO, several nieces & nephews, extended family. Lynette also had a special group of girlfriends that we always considered part of our family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Grace Evangelical Church, 5103 South 50th Street, St. Joseph, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at the church. She has been cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be given to the Lynette Steltenpohl Memorial Fund.
