Mary Ann Jezak, 86, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at a local health care center.
Mary Ann was born August 3, 1927 in St. Joseph to Andrew and Agnes (Hruby) Jezak. She graduated from Central High School Class of 1944.
Mary Ann was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Saint Anne’s Altar Society and American Institute of Banking.
Mary Ann began her banking career with the Empire Trust Company in 1944. After a series of mergers, she worked for the American National Bank from 1963 through 1982, when she first retired due to the illness of her mother. She came out of retirement in 1983 and joined the United Missouri Bank where she retired after 50 years in banking.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph and Vincent Jezak; and sister, Rose Kehs.
Survivors include sister, Frances (Curtis) Kessler, Savannah, Missouri; brother, Bernard (Sally) Jezak, Kansas City, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Jezak, St. Joseph, Elizabeth Jezak, Temple, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and adopted family, Mike and Karen Barnes and family.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am, Thursday at Horigan Chapel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Father Ron Will C.PP.S. Celebrant. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Parish Rosary at 6:15 pm, Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Visitation will begin after 12 noon, Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Hands of Hope Hospice.
