Percy Robert "Trucker Bob" Pickering 75, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 in Brookfield, MO.

He was born July 9, 1938 in Osawatomie, KS, son of Annie and Robert Willis, he was later adopted by Samuel and Anna May Pickering when he was 10 years old.

They all precede him in death.

He graduated from Clinton High School and served in the United States Navy. He was a Truck Driver for 48 years most recently working for BMS Trucking of Elwood, KS. He was a Presbyterian.

Bob was preceded in death by wife, Gwendolyn Pickering, his parents, two brothers, Larry and Luther Pickering.

Survivors include two son, Sam Pickering and his fiance Tina of Liberty, MO, and Rob Pickering of Harrisonville, MO, daughter, Alice Pickering of Chillicothe, MO, brother, Gary Lipsis of Clinton, MO, two sisters, Peggy of Minnesota, and Pat of Kansas City.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be conducted on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the Shawnee Mound Cemetery, Chiljowee, MO. near Clinton, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
