Ronald "Ron" M. Lamansky 70, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald "Ron" M. Lamansky 70, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 24, 1943 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Ruby and Myron Lamansky.

He graduated from Benton High School Class of 1961 and attended Northwest Missouri State in Maryville to play football.

He retired from Missouri Gas Energy after 38 years of service. He enjoyed coaching his kids baseball and softball teams when they were growing up, he also enjoyed all sports especially, golf and bowling 2-3 nights a week, while not playing golf at Fairview he was the marshall. Ron was a strong Benton Alumni sports supporter as well as a South Side St. Joseph supporter, he enjoyed playing cards with the guys at Fairview and eating at Betty's cafe, he had many friends and will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by father, Myron J. Lamansky, mother, Ruby Johnson, step father, Andy Johnson, brother, Clifford Lamansky, sister, Deborah Filley, and nephew, Steve Filley.

Survivors include, two daughters, Stacey McCarthy and husband Christopher of Kansas City, MO, and Shelly Bell and husband Richard of St. Louis, MO., a son, Steve Lamansky of Homestead, FL, seven grandchildren; Andrea Barber, Jarrid Barber, Garrett McMillian, Christopher McCarthy Jr., Jonah McCarthy, Aaron Bell, Emily Bell, great grandchildren, Jackson, Ryleigh, Kadyn, and Kinsey, a nephew, Todd Lamansky, and two nieces Nikki Keling, and Dawn Ford.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Rupp Funeral Home, The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. A Reception will immediately follow the funeral service at the Fairview Golf Course Community room.
