Shirley J. Reno, 74, White Cloud, Kansas died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Shirley J. Reno, 74, White Cloud, Kansas died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She was born March 9, 1940 to Virgil and Willa (Horton) Short in Sedalia, Missouri.

She married Raymond C. Reno on August 4, 1962. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2013.

Shirley graduated from Central High School. She was an honorary member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska and former princess. She was also a dance instructor with Arthur Murray in St. Joseph, Omaha and Kansas City.

Mrs. Reno enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Virgil “Buck” Short, Jr.

Survivors: son, James Rhodd (Linda); daughters, Kimberly Moore and Kristen Reno; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Roumas (Bill); sister-in-law, Norma Short; and niece, Beverly Davis (Jim).

Services:  3:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
