Dennis was born in St. Joseph, MO and grew up in the Helena and Cosby area. He joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Walker on March 19, 1969. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked 27 years for Silgan Containers as a press operator. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local #2. He was an avid fisherman, mushroom hunter, and Chiefs fan. He loved playing Bingo and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Pike, sister, Dorothy “Weezie” Walker, mother and father-in-law, Lucella & Olen Walker.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda Pike, of the home; children, Denny, Debbie and Dana Pike of Helena, MO; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother and father, Charlie and Fern Bennett, Gallatin, MO; twin brother, Don Pike, Gower, MO; sister, Wanda Kay Shaw (Chuck), Gallatin, MO; two step-brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His beloved dogs, Heidi and Milan.
Mr. Pike has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Celebration of Life 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Helena, MO. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. Inurnment at a later date in Helena Cemetery.
