Donald Paul McMichael, 78, Union Star, Missouri passed from this life on Monday, October 28, 2013 at LaVerna Village, Savannah. He was born on October 5, 1935 in Denver, Missouri to Homer & Sylvia (Spencer) McMichael. He married Donna Hilsenbeck in April 1960 and she preceded him in death March 1968. Don was a lifelong resident of Missouri and farmed since he was a teenager. He worked the land using John Deere machinery and enjoyed driving Chevy pickups. He took pride in keeping his farms in immaculate condition.

Don had many hobbies throughout his life, including roller skating, racing cars, riding motorcycles, driving speedboats, skeet shooting and coon hunting. His favorite vacations were out West, where he loved the rugged scenery and beauty of the Rocky Mountains. His family knew the vacations would always include stops to many western stores and farm implement dealerships, as well as trips to rodeos.
