H. Christine Lance, 88, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 surrounded by her loving family, at a local health care center.
Christine was born June 29, 1925 in Savannah, Missouri to Otis and Mabel (Clizer) Lance. She grew up in the Hackberry community.
Ms Lance was a Doctor’s assistant for Dr. Wayne Maxwell for 35 years. She also co-owned Lance’s House of Flowers in Savannah.
Christine was a member of the Savannah United Methodist Church and Business Professional Women of Savannah. She was recognized as “Person of the Year” by Savannah Chamber of Commerce in 2012 and was also a member of the Andrew County Health Board for over 35 years.
Christine enjoyed Seek and Find Puzzles, reading and visiting daily with her coffee friends.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Cameron Lance.
Survivors include brother, Caryl (Betty) Lance; nieces, Sheryl (Gary) Jermain, Paige Lance; nephews, Kent Lance, Jeff (Caelene) Lance; nine great-nieces and nephews.
Services 10 am Tuesday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, Savannah, Missouri. Visitation will begin after 12:30 pm, Monday at our Chapel,
where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday evening. Interment Savannah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice.
