Helen R. Fuson, 93, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at her home surrounded by her four sons.
She was born August 12, 1920 to Fred and Nellie (Scott) Kimsey in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She married Bill Fuson on September 1, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Helen and her husband ran Crab’s Market, a local grocery store, for twenty years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Altar Society, and volunteered at the Open Door Food Kitchen with her husband.
Mrs. Fuson was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Phillip Fuson; brothers, George Kimsey and William Kimsey; and sister, Margaret Harkrader.
Survivors: sons, Larry Fuson (Shirley), St. Joseph, Missouri, Greg Fuson (Bethann), St. Joseph, Missouri, Doug Fuson (Nanette), King City, Missouri and Matt Fuson (Barb), St. Joseph, Missouri; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Borgen, Rosemount, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
