John "Big Bad" Lee Stinnett 62, of Amazonia, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Savannah, MO.

He was born July 24, 1951 in Amazonia, MO, son of Mary and Elbert Stinnett.

He attended Savannah high school. He worked at Western Fireproofing, Kansas City, MO for many years. He enjoyed fishing, drinking Budweiser Beer, road trips and the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Vance Stinnett.

Survivors include, 6 sisters, Ruthie Haynes of Savannah, MO, Nancy (Harold) Rehagen of Amazonia, MO, Judy (David) Welter of Saint Joseph, MO, Jane Hubbard of Savannah, MO, Gwen (Russell) Leslie of Rockdale, TX, and Melinda Stinnett of Amazonia, MO, a sister-in-law, Joannia Stinnett of Kincaid, KS, 19, nieces & nephews, and 34, great nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Fillmore Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the John Stinnett Memorial fund.
