Michael Douglas Mosiman, 62, of St. Joseph, MO, departed for Heaven on Friday, September 27th, 2013.

Michael Douglas Mosiman, 62, of St. Joseph, MO, departed for Heaven on Friday, September 27th, 2013. The Lord blessed Mike with a sweet homecoming as he was surrounded by his family at his residence.

Mike was born on May 20th, 1951, and raised in St. Joseph, MO. He attended Platte Business College, and on September 7th, 1974, he was joined in marriage to Mildred Schrader. In 1980 Mike attended Christ Unlimited Bible Institute (CUBI) in Kansas City. He accepted the position of Dean of Students at CUBI from 1981-1989. In 1989 Mike and Millie settled in St. Joseph as he became Executive Director of Midland Ministries. During his 24 years at Midland, Mike expanded the ministry and impacted the lives of thousands of youth and adults through after school programs, counseling, Bible quizzing, and summer camps.

Mike is now living in Heaven with his father, Robert Mosiman, his mother, Louise Mosiman- Hees, his brother Robert Mosiman, and his grandson, Daniel Beattie.

Surviving are his wife, Millie, his daughter, Sarah (Kenny) Beattie, his sons, John (Jessica) Mosiman and Tim (Traci) Mosiman, and five grandchildren: Samuel, Claire, and William Beattie, and Grace and Joshua Mosiman. Also surviving are Mike’s two beloved sisters: Marilyn (Nick) Erganian and Patty (Ron) Raines.

Mike dedicated his life to sharing the good news of the gospel with everyone he met, and lived his life seeking after God’s own heart. Mike strongly desired to encourage men to become COURAGEOUS husbands, fathers, and grandfathers, loving and leading their families the same way that Christ loves and leads His children. Mike’s life will continue to be celebrated by his family and friends, as we wait in anticipation for the day that we will be reunited with our savior Jesus in Heaven.

A visitation for Mike will be held on Friday, October 11th, from 5pm-8pm, and a Celebration of Life Rally will be held on Saturday, October 12th, at 6pm. Both services will be held at Frederick Blvd. Baptist Church, in St. Joseph.

Memorials are suggested to Midland Ministries.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
