R. Dean Branaman, 86, Savannah, Missouri died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 29, 1927 to Hugh and Faye (Crater) Branaman in Ottawa, Kansas.
During World War II he served with the United States Army.
He married Ruth Presnell on December 1, 1967. She survives of the home.
Mr. Branaman was employed in several different capacities over a course of his inquisitive and multifaceted Life. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He was active in the Good Life Games as a committee member and participant. The last nine years he volunteered at Heartland Regional Medical Center in admitting.
A man of grace, compassion and love for his family and friends. A man who stood up for others and lead by example. A man who was surrounded by his friends as they would meet every Saturday morning to solve the world’s problems over coffee. A man who would harass every waitress he ever had. A man who will be truly missed for the joy he brought to others. “So glad you got to see me!”
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Margaret “Peg” With.
Additional Survivors: sons, Robert Branaman (Elisa), Ft. Collins, Colorado and Mark Branaman (Stacey), St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Dean, Sydney and Joseph Branaman and Anthony Bain; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, St. Paul Lutheran Church. Inurnment Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
