Susan Pierce Means, 53, St. Joseph, Missouri died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 6, 1959 to William and Patricia (Pierce) Means in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Susan graduated from the University of Kansas where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She attended Christ Episcopal Church where she was an active member of the choir and served as a past Warden of the Church.
She was known for her beautiful singing voice which included having starred in Hello Dolly and being a frequent soloist at events in the community.
She loved animals and had many cherished pets throughout her life. She enjoyed travel, especially going on cruises.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors: father, Bill Means, St. Joseph, Missouri; sisters, Katherine Means (Rachel Mandes), Middletown, Delaware and Rebecca Schneidewind (Russ), Kansas City, Missouri; nephew, Pierce Schneidewind; and husband, Tim Stufflebean.
Memorial Service: 1:15 P.M. Sunday, Christ Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the Christ Episcopal Church.
