Conservation Dept. Offers Fly Tying Class

(St. Joseph, MO) - Starting Jan. 10th, the Missouri Conservation Department will offer fly tying classes. The course is free of cost and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm throughout the month of January.

Students will learn a variety of techniques for the art of fly tying. They will also learn to make flies that catch fish and look stylish.

Classes consist of 2 hours of classroom work per night. Students may bring note taking material.

The course is open to anyone 12 years and older, who wants to learn more about the art. Anyone under 16 will need a parent or guardian present. Class size is limited.

Students must pre-register by calling 816-271-3100 before January 10th, 2012. If you have a set of fly tying tools, please indicate that with your registration.
