(GREEN BAY, Wis.) Michael Hill grew up rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and on Thursday night, the St. Joe native will line up across from the team he grew up an hour away from.

"It's awesome to know that I'm actually going to be playing them," Hill said.

Thursday's game will be more than just a chance to soak in the memory of playing against the Chiefs -- his favorite NFL team -- it's also one final audition.

The former Missouri Western tailback survived the first round of cuts in Green Bay that trimmed the roster down to 75, but is listed as the fourth running back on the depth chart.

"I'm just going to keep trying to press on and make every play like it's my last."

Through three games in the preseason, Hill has 22 yards on 10 carries and 32 yards on two receptions.

He was active for eight games during his rookie season -- two with Green Bay and six with Tampa Bay -- gaining 46 total yards on nine carries and two catches.

Thursday's game between the Packers and Chiefs is set for 7 pm.
