(ST. JOSEPH) Sunday night marked a perfect storm for businesses catering to Chiefs fans. The Chiefs, coming off a bye week, playing on the road on a national stage in the biggest game of the NFL season so far motivated big crowds to pack local establishments.

"Versus last year, every Sunday, we've beaten it," Uncle D's owner Dewayne Leer said. "Football's been good for us this year."

Although packed Sunday nights aren't common place for spots like Uncle D's, every Chiefs game day has been good for business. As playoff time approaches, Kansas City's success should only make the numbers grow.

"In the past, we've gotten fewer when the Chiefs are at home, but we've gotten big crowds home an away this season."

"I don't think the Chiefs have really been given enough credibility with an undefeated season. A good showing in Denver, whether they win or lose, will help their credibility."
