Lauren McDonald signed a letter of intent Friday morning to join the Johnson County Community College softball team.
McDonald will pitch and serve as a utility infielder for the Cavaliers.
The coaching staff at JCCC is what sold her on the school.
"I loved the coaches, and really, what made a big difference was having a pitching coach too. Because that was really one of the things that I looked for."
McDonald also drew interest from Pittsburg State.
She joins a team that finished fourth in NJCAA District D with a 33-8 record.
