(ST. JOSEPH) Missouri Western plated 19 runs on 19 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Missouri Southern by finals of 8-1 and 11-2 on Sunday.

The wins pull the Griffons back to .500 in MIAA play at 7-7 and bumps their overall record to 22-14.

Tiffany Gillaspy began a six-RBI afternoon in the third inning of game one, driving in Morgan Rathmann with a single to left.

MSSU (10-24, 2-8) kicked things off in the second meeting Michelle Stevenson's wayward through to first allowed two runners to cross.

The lead was short-lived as MWSU erupted for six runs in the bottom of the frame. Gillaspy registered her final five RBI in a two-inning span, which included a grand slam to put the Griffons up 11-2 in the third.
