(ST. JOSEPH) Major League scouts have taken notice of Missouri Western's record-setting 2013 season.

Third baseman Grant Fink has been selected in the 23rd round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians, joining SS Michael Schulze as the two Griffons selected so far.

Fink is currently playing with the St. Joseph Mustangs of the MINK League.

The senior earned a bevy of postseason awards through his .397 batting average, 51 RBI, and program record-tying 14 home runs this past season. He was named second team Capital One All-America, ABCA/Rawlings All-America, NCBWA All-America  and an All-MIAA First Teamer.

He was also one of ten finalists for the Tino Martinez Award, given to the top player in Division II.

He helped a powerful offense fuel the Griffons to a school-record 40 wins and just the second NCAA Tournament berth in school history.
