(SALINA, Kan.) Ben Pister has added his name to the members of Missouri Western's 2012 class continuing their playing careers.
The former Griffon defensive end and Central High School graduate signed with the Salina Bombers of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League Monday.
Pister said he received an email from the team and attended Salina's game last Saturday. He is already with the team taking part in practice and expects to see game time this Saturday when the Bombers face the Wichita Wild.
He had previously worked out with the Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League prior to being contacted by the Bombers.
An All-MIAA First Team selection for Western in 2012, he recorded eight sacks and 61 tackles, including a school record 22.5 tackles for loss.
The Bombers are currently third in the CPIFL, holding a 5-2 record with five games left in the regular season.
