(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After failing to come through with a clutch hit with runners in scoring position late in Thursday's game, Missouri Western didn't leave any doubt Friday in a 10-5 win over Southwest Baptist.

The victory evens the best-of-three series at one game apiece. The deciding game will be played Saturday at 1pm at the Spring Sports Complex.

The Griffons jumped on the Bearcats scoring four in the second inning. Mitch Thorman, Jake Schrader, Hunter Weiss and Ryan Degner each had a RBI hit in the frame.

Degner came back with a two-run home run in the fourth to make it 6-0. He went 4-4 at the dish with two singles, a double and three RBIs to go along with his 17th homer of the season.

Jake Jones got the win despite giving up five earned runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Banks Born entered in relief of Jones in the sixth, but walked a batter to load the bases. Born was pulled after facing one hitter, and was replaced by Josh Lansangan. Lansangan got a pop up and strikeout to end the inning. The junior from Kansas City got his first save keeping Southwest Baptist scoreless for the final 3 2/3 innings.
