(CHILLICOTHE, Mo.) It took a ninth-inning walk-off, but the Mustangs' win streak came to an end in Chillicothe on Sunday.

Trevor Jones slapped the go-ahead single off Trey Gonsalez to hand St. Joseph a 3-2 loss, their first defeat in seven outings.

The bulk of the scoring came in the second inning, beginning with Lucas Powers' opening single to score Connor Foreman.

Colton Howell got the start for the Mustangs (13-9), surrendering his only two runs in the second. Sam Moon drew a leadoff walk before Tanner Bily tripled in the tying run. Jones followed that with his first RBI of the evening to put the Mudcats up 2-0.

Brandon Huske answered back in the fourth, singling off Tyler Steurman to knot the game at 2-2. It'd stay that way until Jones' decisive hit in the ninth.

Grayson Pratt picked up the win for the Mudcats, pitching 2 2/3 innings perfect innings with a strikeout.

The Mustangs return to action Thursday at Phil Welch Stadium when they host Ozark.
