(SEDALIA, Mo.) Cody Cunningham's dominance of the MINK League continued as he pitched another gem against Sedalia Tuesday night.
The Mustangs' ace allowed just two runs, only one earned, in a 4-2 win over the Bombers.
St. Joseph (24-10) moves to a season-best 14 games over .500.
Cunningham allowed a lead-off single in the bottom of the first inning, but the Bombers did not record another hit until the sixth inning. The hurler allowed just three hits over seven and a third innings while striking out four batters.
With a 1-0 lead after five innings, St. Joseph ran off three more runs in the sixth, including one RBI from third baseman Shane Segovia.
Segovia finished the night 3-4, and has a hit in 10 of his last 11 games. His batting average in league games is up to .369, and has 16 RBI.
The Mustangs return home Wednesday for a game against Omaha.
St. Joseph is down to just three home games left in the regular season.
