(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) The Mustangs season is winding down with just two home games (Friday, July 19th and Saturday July 20th) left this summer.

St. Joseph manager Matt Johnson sends Stanten Jones to the mound Friday night against Omaha for his final start with the ball club.

Jones graduated from Arkansas Pine Bluff recently, and is wrapping up his baseball career in St. Joseph.

In two summers with the Mustangs, Jones is 4-1 with 71 strikeouts to just 24 walks in 11 starts.

Phil Welch Stadium has become a special place for the Flossmoor, Ill. native.

"I love this place," Jones said Thursday afternoon. "Playing in front of 1,500 to 4,000 fans every night, and having Mustangs across my chest is one of the prouder moments that I've had in my baseball career. This experience is second to none and I'll always carry it with me for the rest of my life."

First pitch between the Mustangs and the Omaha Diamond Spirit is 7pm.
