(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) For the second consecutive night, the Mustangs won a pair of games against a South Division opponent. Ryker Fox shut down Ozark in a 2-0 win in game one of the doubleheader, and the St. Joe offense put together a ten hit performance to take the second 8-3.

The Mustangs also swept a doubleheader against Branson Friday. They've now won four games in a row to open a two game lead on Chillicothe in the North Division standings with 11 games to play -- four of them coming against the Mudcats.

Fox lowered his ERA to 1.01 picking up the complete game victory -- his MINK-leading seventh win of the season. The former Northwest Bearcat scattered three hits and three walks, while striking out three batters.

Joe Koerper drove in a run in the first inning to put St. Joe ahead, and Josh Cassidy added another on an RBI double in the second.

Kyle Richards and Trent Hill led the offensive charge in the second game. Each finished with two hits and two RBIs.

Hayden Steele also went 2-3 with an RBI in the win.

Former Central Missouri pitcher Blake Kolons improved his record to 2-0 after limiting the Generals to three unearned runs in five innings of work.

Austin Aspegren and Redmond Floyd each threw one scoreless inning out of the bullpen to finish the win.

The Mustangs are back on the road Sunday with a game against Omaha.
