(SEDALIA, Mo.) Days after getting rolled by the Bombers in Sedalia, the Mustangs made a return trip to Liberty Park and delivered a pounding of their own. St. Joe belted out 12 hits as they dominated Sedalia 12-4.

The Mustangs (24-15) scored six runs in the sixth inning and four more in the seventh to open up an insurmountable lead.

The Bombers handed the Mustangs a 13-1 loss on Tuesday -- St. Joe's worst of the season -- so they returned the favor Friday.

Starting pitcher Brandon Simmons picked up his first win for St. Joe allowing one run on five hits in seven innings of work. The former Missouri Western pitcher gave up just one hit through the first four innings.

Of the Mustangs 12 runs, only half were earned. Griff Gordon reached with two outs in the first on an error on third baseman Tony Sandifer, and scored on a triple by Joe Koerper.

In the fifth, Kyle Richards doubled to lead-off the inning, and scored on another booted ball hit by Gordon.

Koerper delivered the big hit once again in the sixth inning driving a three-run home run over the left field wall to open up a 8-1 lead.

St. Joseph has now won three in a row -- including two on the road -- and return home to face Nevada on Saturday.
