The victory is the 200th for St. Joseph and manager Matt Johnson in the club's sixth season.
Starting pitcher Jake Jones, fresh off a no-hitter in his first outing on June 20, set the tone keeping the Generals off the bases for the first four innings, and only allowing three base runners total through eight.
The offense caught up in the bottom of the fourth.
With runners on second and third and none out, Ozark catcher Austin Avalos fired a throw to first base in an attempt to pick off Mike Sherburne. The ball sailed down the right field line allowing Joe Koerper to score from second.
That error set the wheels in motion.
Zac Johnson reached on an error scoring Sherburne. Kyle Richards, Francisco Alvarez, Brandon Huske, Ryan Abernathy and Koerper all followed with at least one RBI later in the inning as St. Joe (21-8, 14-7 MINK) sent 11 batters to the plate. Koerper actually had two hits and drove in a pair during the frame.
It resulted in a seven run inning. They tacked on one more in the fifth, sixth and two in the eighth to hit double digit scoring for the fourth time this season.
Jones' ERA remained at 0.00 as he struck out nine and allowed just three hits in eight innings of work.
The Mustangs take to the road to face Nevada Sunday after two in a row at home.
