(ST. JOSEPH) Over 150 people took to the field at Phil Welch Stadium prior to Saturday's St. Joseph Mustangs game to be a part of history.

The team organized an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for the most individuals involved in a first pitch.

Saturday's feat would surpass the old record of 111 people set in August of 2011 by the Ehime Mandarin Pirates at Botchan Stadium in Japan.

Four cameras were stationed around the park to capture the attempt. The film must be submitted for it to be verified as a new world record.
