(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The late Tony Poloski was one of three men inducted into the St. Joseph Baseball Hall of Fame Friday night.
Poloski accepted a scholarship to play football and basketball at Southern California out of high school, but eventually returned to Oklahoma A & M (now Oklahoma State) to be closer to home.
He was also a professional scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves.
Poloski died in 2001. His children, Bill and Pat, accepted the honor on his behalf.
He is joined by Greg Kastner and Mike Musser in the 2013 class.
