The event brought seven 16 & under teams from St. Louis to Wichita, Kan. together for a chance to reach the USA National Tournament in Salem, Va.
A local team known as the St. Joseph SWAT lost three straight games on Saturday, eliminating them from the final day's winners bracket. The St. Lous-based Chaos defeated the Lee's Summit Force to become one of over 100 teams to advance to nationals.
Teams from Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska were eligible to compete.
Tournament director Chuck Kempf said the city was awarded the event earlier this year.
"These tournaments aren't easy to get, so we're always glad to get them in St. Joe," he said. "People really come in from out of town and they're very impressed. They were very complimentary and typically the teams that come from out of town are."
The tournament, one of three ASA events that Heritage is scheduled to host this summer, was expected to bring in close to $79,200 according to the St. Joseph Visitor's Bureau.
