It's the first .500 season for the Bearcats since 2008.
Jon Pomatto and Blake Hardegree drove in the opening runs in the second to give Northwest a 2-0 advantage.
PSU (18-32, 13-27) came back to tie it in the fifth before the Bearcat bats exploded, tallying nine runs over the next two frames. Northwest batted around in the sixth while sending six runners across the plate.
Six different Bearcats drove in runs as Hardegree, Pomatto, Brandon Huske, and Steven Garber tallied two RBI apiece.
Ryker Fox (7-3) allowed two runs on 11 hits while striking out six batters over seven innings.
PSU struck in the first inning of Game 2 as Brad Foss drove in Derek Hackney by grounding into a fielder's choice. That would be the only run the Gorillas would score until the ninth.
Northwest plated two in the third and six more in the seventh to jump out to an 8-1 advantage. Garrett Fort recorded three RBI, while Ryan Abernathy drove in a pair.
Daulton Perry (3-0) struck out two while allowing two hits and an unearned over six frames.
