(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) With one mammoth performance on Monday, Lonnie Chisenhall surpassed the season home run total for Eric Hosmer, Billy Butler, Omar Infante, Lorenzo Cain, and Alcides Escobar.

It was he and the Indians who stared at home runs hitting the Kauffman Stadium seats on Tuesday as the Royals hit three to grab a 9-3 win.

Hosmer, Alex Gordon, and Mike Moustakas combined for Kansas City's first three-homer game at home since last July.

Lorenzo Cain was the only Royals (32-32) starter without a hit, but turned in an impressive night defensively, namely in the third when he turned in an over-the-shoulder catch and a sliding grab that led to a double play.

Butler recorded his first RBIs in 12 games with a single that plated two of the team's four runs in the third inning. Omar Infante began the frame with a run-scoring single.

Gordon's solo shot in the eighth extended his team-leading total to seven before Moustakas hit a two-run bomb off the right foul pole for his first since being recalled from Triple-A Omaha.

Jason Vargas (6-2) was spotless over the first seven innings, striking out five and allowing no walks. He was pulled with two outs in the seventh and was charged with three runs.

Aaron Crow allowed two more runs in the ninth, but locked up his first save of the year.
