Seven people died in traffic crashes across the state during the holiday counting period, which began Friday, August 30 and ended Monday Sept. 2 just before midnight.

The Highway Patrol also investigated nine boating crashes. Seven were injured in those crashes, but no one was killed. Fourteen were arrested for boating while intoxicated.
No drownings were reported during the holiday counting period.
