A Very Cold End to the First Week of December

The transition day was yesterday; frigid temperatures infiltrate the region and stay with us for at least a week, but likely more.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) For early December, it doesn't get a whole lot colder than this.

High winds, low temperatures, and a dearth of sunlight combine for a bleak forecast as we get closer to the weekend.

The cold air persists well after the weekend, however the focus of the forecast right now is mainly on a more accurate outlook on the potential for snowfall on Sunday.

That snow could begin sometime Saturday night, and produce as much as three inches of snow across northwest Missouri.
