Absentee Voting Continues Leading Up to Tuesday's Election

Some area residents got a chance to cast their ballots on the ambulance tax Saturday morning.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Some area residents got a chance to cast their ballots on the ambulance tax today at the county clerk's office where absentee voting continued.

The only issue on Tuesday's ballot is a one-fourth cent sales tax that would fund a county-run ambulance district.

The measure was proposed as a replacement for Heartland Health after they announced they were ending ambulance service in the area.  The measure also includes a ten year sunset clause.

Absentee voters also have a chance to turn in their ballots on Monday at the county clerk's office, until 5:00 P.M.
