Accident Causes Detours for Drivers on I-35 Near Cameron

According to MoDOT, traffic on the interstate was rerouted to U.S. Highway 69 due a non-hazardous spill.
(CAMERON, Mo.) An accident on I-35 in Daviess County sent drivers looking for a different way around today.

According to MoDOT, traffic on the interstate was rerouted to U.S. Highway 69 due a non-hazardous spill this morning.

The accident closed both directions of I-35.

Northbound traffic had to be rerouted onto U.S. Highway 69 at Exit 68 north of Winston.

MoDOT rerouted southbound traffic at Exit 78 near Pattonsburg.

One northbound has since reopened along with all southbound lanes of I-35.

Officials said it could take more than two hours to clear the spill and reopen all lanes of traffic.
