Apple Market Donates Truckload of Food to Second Harvest

Apple Market donated 20,000 pounds of food to Second Harvest.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.)  A big truck rolled up with a nice donation for a St. Joseph food bank.

Apple Market donated an entire truckload of food to Second Harvest.

The donation is part of the food bank's annual corporate food drive.

Second Harvest says a donation of this size can provide thousands of meals to those in need.

"We're very excited to be getting this donation from our friends at Apple Market. 20,000 pounds will allow us to provide about 15,000 meals across our service area. So, it's a very big deal for our service area," said Aaron Smullin.

The food bank serves clients here in St. Joseph, as well as throughout Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.
