AT&T Extends Mobile Internet Access in Northwest Missouri

A dozen new cell sites provided by AT&T in northwest Missouri promise better internet access for customers.
(BETHANY, Mo.) A dozen new cell sites provided by AT&T in northwest Missouri promise better mobile internet access for customers.

AT&T announced the upgrades Tuesday, which are intended to improve mobile internet services along Interstates 35 and 29 from Kansas City to the Iowa state line.

The upgrades are part of the company's Project Velocity IP (VIP). The three-year investment is designed to enhance broadband networks.

"AT&T has invested nearly $250 million in its Missouri wireless and wired networks in the first half of 2013 alone, so these network enhancements in northwest Missouri are just the latest examples of AT&T's significant infrastructure investment," said John Sondag, president of AT&T Missouri.

The coverage area impacted by AT&T's new cell sites includes: Bethany, Burlington Junction, Craig, Eagleville, Fairfax, Princeton, Ridgeway, Rock Port, Spickard and Tarkio.
