Barbara Ann (Hilton) Heck, 61, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at LaVerna Village Nursing Home, Savannah, MO with her family by her side.
Barbara Ann (Hilton) Heck, 61, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at LaVerna Village Nursing Home, Savannah, MO with her family by her side.

She was born on February 12, 1952, in Maryville, MO.

Barb was welcomed into the world by her parents, Ralph and Francis (Hilsabeck) Hilton, and her two sisters Norma and Marolyn.

Growing up in Graham, MO, she was a member of the United Methodist Church. She graduated from Nodaway Holt High School in 1969 and became a Heck soon after when she married Allen Heck on March 27, 1971. Attending Northwest Missouri State University, she obtained a degree in education, although her most valued job was that of a mother of two girls, Alyssa and Andrea. She was a creative woman whose pizzazz and fun nature helped her enjoy time with her girls, bowling or chatting with friends, and reading books to her granddaughters, all while enjoying a refreshing Pepsi.

She is survived by husband, Allen Heck of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alyssa and Jeff Flynn, Ladera Ranch, Calif, Andrea and Kevin Plummer, Platte City, MO.; four granddaughters, Fiona, Eliana Flynn, Temperance and Kimbralynn Plummer; mother-in-law, Donna Mae Heck, Maitland, MO.; sisters, Norma Kenny, Skidmore, MO. and Marolyn (Jim) Alloway, Graham; brother-in-law, Larry (Debbie) Heck, Maitland; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Darrell Heck; and brother-in-law, Norman Lee Kenny.

Celebration of Life: 1 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah.

Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, MO.

Public visitation and family receiving hours: 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the funeral Home.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society.
