Basil Crabcakes

Basil Crabcakes
3 cans crab (1 pound)
1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 chopped bell pepper
1/4 cup mayo
1 egg
juice of half a lemon
large pinch garlic powder
8 or 10 chopped basil leaves

oil for frying

Combine ingredients.
Form into patties about 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches diameter.

Serve with mayo with a bit of garlic in it.
