Bolles entered the game at quarterback late in the first quarter, and sparked a comeback that brought the Bearcats (2-0, 1-0 MIAA) back from a 17 point deficit.

The Bearcats countered with a seven play, 75 yard drive in Bolles first appearance of the game that ended with a five yard touchdown run by the quarterback. He then brought Northwest back within a field goal on a 20 yard touchdown pass to Korey Jackson.
Bolles finished with 82 rushing yards and two touchdowns and 19 carries, while throwing for 191 yards and a score on 17-23 passing.
Starting quarterback Trevor Adams was pulled after the Northwest offense sputtered for much of the first quarter. The Bearcats first drive of the game ended in an Adams interception; the next two resulted in punts. In the second quarter, Adams made one more appearance in the game, but the offense went three-and-out again.
Northwest took its first lead of the game when Jacob Vollestedt blocked a punt, and Dylan Chadwick grabbed the fumble and took it into the end zone from 25 yards out.
The Bearcats hit the road for the first time this season September 21st when they play at Fort Hays State.
