Braves End Cardinals Win Streak

Lance Lynn gave up four earned runs in seven innings Sunday.
(ST. LOUIS, Mo.) For the third consecutive game, Lance Lynn gave up four earned runs as the Cardinals fell 5-2 to the Braves Sunday.

The loss snaps a four game win streak for St. Louis (76-54).

Logan Schafer led the game off with a triple, and scored on a hit from Elliot Johnson in the following at-bat. The Braves added to it in the second on a RBI single by Paul Janish, and a run-scoring ground-rule double from Schafer, his second extra-base hit in as many innings.

St. Louis tried to chip away at the deficit with Matt Holliday's RBI ground out in the sixth, but Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons hit a solo home run to move the lead back to three runs.

Allen Craig was a bright spot for the Cardinals going 3-4 and driving in a run in the eighth.

Lynn dropped to 13-8 on the season in the loss.
