Brothers Serve Country Together

Brandon and Chad Ness realized they wanted to serve their country at a young age, opting to join the military together.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) It was an easy decision to make for two brothers who seem to do everything together.

PFC Brandon Ness and his younger brother PFC Chad Ness may be eighteen months apart but their love to serve their country led them to join the military at the same time.

Both are products of Gallatin High School.

After discovering their own family history in the military, the boys knew it was something they were destined to do together.

"I did it just because I felt like it was my thing to do," said PFC Brandon Ness of the 1-139th Military Police Company. "It was my time."

His brother shared a more personal experience knowing he was called to service at a young age.

"We always played with G.I. Joe's as little kids and we both kind of had that burning passion to serve our country in the biggest way we could," said PFC Chad Ness of the 1-129th Field Artillery unit.

The two are serving in different companies but said they have no problem keeping in touch with each other.

Chad Ness is still going through high school and will meet up with his unit once he graduates this May.
