Indians pick up wins over Benton, Bishop LeBlond
Opening night of high school football is just one week away.

But, four schools from the St. Joseph area got a taste of some real action on Friday at the City Jamboree at Spratt Stadium at Missouri Western. 

Central, Bishop LeBlond, Lafayette, and Benton all participated, with Central getting the unofficial victory.  The Indians notched a 24-0 win over Bishop LeBlond and an 18-0 victory against Benton.  They tied Lafayette 6-6. 

The squads scrimmaged with 12 straight offensive plays for one team.  Then, the teams would switch possession.  All four squads got a chance to face each other. 

The Fighting Irish ranked second, getting a 12-6 win over BIshop LeBlond and a pair of ties.  

The Eagles' lone win came in a 6-0 series against Benton.  The Cardinals also tied Lafayette in a 12-12 affair.
