Staff members, family and friends gathered for cocktails, live music and dinner, to remember two decades of business.
The center was the first one build in St. Joseph, and caters to children who have been abused or neglected.
Employees say they are happy with the work they have done in the community throughout the years.
"We've grown so much. We help so many kids now. We went from service maybe 100 kids, to 350 kids a year. We're doing a lot more interviews, a lot more counseling," Joyce Estes.
The Children's Advocacy Center serves kids ages 2 to 17, and 10 different counties in Northwest Missouri.
All of their services are free.
