After a brush with freezing rain overnight, we now anticipate the chance for the most productive snowfall so far this season over the weekend.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) We are no longer spoiled by warm temperatures. A cold front passed overnight, and we did see a little bit of freezing rain.
As temperatures remain very cold, we look for another shot of energy on Saturday night - and that means snowfall.
It looks like it could be the most productive snowfall of the season so far.
Once temperatures cool enough after the sun goes down on Saturday, we could get between 3 and 6 inches of accumulation by Sunday morning.
Winter also officially begins on Saturday. How fitting.
