Community Comes Together to Support Teen Battling Cancer

Five-hundred people, from Osborn, participated in the 5K walk/run for Mikaela Gray.
(OSBORN, Mo.) Hundreds gathered in Osborn Sunday to support a teenager battling cancer.

Around 500 people participated in the 5K walk/run for Mikaela Gray.

We first told you about Gray's story, and the support from her community, a few weeks ago.

The 15-year-old was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, shortly after discovering a lump on her neck in August.

She said events like this one are a huge relief, and show that people will support her no matter what.

"The outcome, it was crazy. It's like almost overwhelming because there's so much going on, but it's such a relief. Like, I don't know how to explain it," said Gray.

The money raised from the event will help pay for Gray's medical bills.
